Grace: Deliverance only by Grace

Grace Message:

~~ Deliverance comes only by Grace ~~

 

I am going to show in this message that the only way of deliverance is by Grace.  There is absolutely nothing but condemnation under law.  Law is a YOKE of BONDAGE.  Jesus came to break EVERY YOKE.

 

Romans 2: 12. ~~~~  For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

 

Now that shows that even if one lives without law, and they sin, they will perish.  So living without law is NOT a license to sin.  We certainly do NOT believe that.  But if you sin under the law, you will be judged by the law.  Either way, the sinner is going to be lost.

 

Acts 15: 1.~~  And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

 

  1. But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

 

  1. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
  2. And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
  3. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

 

  1. For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

( People try to take the above verse and say this proves they were still keeping the seventh day Sabbath;  well it only proves that those Jews who had NOT accepted Jesus and Grace were still under it;  the Apostles preached and worked every day.   That is crystal clear in the book of Acts.).  This is why it pointed out that MOSES = LAW, was being read on the Sabbath;  they did not have the New Covenant.

  1. Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
  2. And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
  3. Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
  4. It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
  5. Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  6. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
  7. For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

Now don’t you see from verse 24, that they said those who told the Christians that they must KEEP THE LAW,  that they were troubling their souls and subverting them?  The Apostles of the Lord Jesus told them, “We gave no such commandment to you!”.    ……..  PRAISE THE LORD.

Galatians 5

 

  1. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of  BONDAGE.
  2. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
  3. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
  4. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

 

Now, this makes it positive that if you keep even one part of LAW, you must do it all; and that you will be judged by the law. 

 

We also know the word teaches the law is NOT of Faith.  We know there is no salvation without  FAITH.  If you live under the law, you fall from Grace, so Jesus is of no effect to you.  So it seems very clear to me, from all these Scriptures, that anyone today willfully trying to be justified and sanctified and saved by law, is willfully turning your back on Jesus and salvation.

 

Look at verse 1, Paul showed that the law was a yoke of bondage which Jesus set us free from.  He tells us NOT to be entangled again with this yoke of bondage. 

 

The law demands sin be punished.  There is absolutely NO MERCY under law.  God CANNOT grant you mercy under law.  It is His Law, which cannot be altered, which says that if you keep one part of the law, you are guilty of it all.  It is His Law which demands you be punished if you break that law you are living under.    Therefore, God himself, by His own law, cannot grant you mercy and forgiveness if you choose to live by law.

 

There is no way of mercy, = forgiveness, and deliverance from the punishment except by Grace.  If you go back to law, you FALL FROM GRACE.  Therefore you cheat yourself out of God’s forgiveness of your sins.  So then, you must receive the damnation for your sins.

 

In order not to make this too long, I will do the other part in another post.  I have laid the foundation for my message that there is only deliverance by Grace, by setting this truth up first that there is no deliverance or mercy under law.  You must see that in order to be able to see the next part.
