The Joy of the Lord is my strength
To have this joy I would go to any length.
To hear Him call my name
Takes away all pain.
When I go to him in prayer
There is nothing that can compare.
And without controversy
Nothing can compare to His mercy.
He gives me great glory and grace
That the adversary cannot erase.
He takes away all my fears
And wipes away all my tears.
When you are all alone
With no place to call home
Remember Jesus did this same path trod
But He gave us the Word of God.
If you are feeling great despair
Lean on the Lord without a care.
Cast all your cares upon Him
And the despair will grow very dim.
When you feel that all is lost
Remember, Jesus already paid the cost.
You will overcome the flood
Because you are covered with His Blood.
Take up your cross and follow Jesus
Remembering that He always sees us.
Hide His Word in your heart
And you will never from his joy depart.
Look to the Lord in all seasons
And you will know the reasons
That the joy of the Lord sustains you
When the will of the Lord you do.
Nothing can drag you down
When the Joy of the Lord is your crown.
So lift up your hands and rejoice.
The Lord has given us His voice.
May you today be filled with His love
And He will take you to his home above.
Eternal joy and bliss with then be yours
To hold throughout endless years.
