Good Poems: Jesus Said

Good Poems Message:

Jesus Said

By:  Jo Smith ~~ December 4, 2020

Jesus said, I am the way

Come to the Father today.

You must come through me

Or God you will never see.

Jesus said, the words I speak are not mine

They belong to the Father, Devine.

I say only what the Father gives

So this is the way that lives.

Jesus said, Come to me and I will give you rest

My way of life is the very best.

Jesus said, My Father and I are one

I am His only BEGOTTEN son.

We will come unto you and take up our abode

This will lift from you a heavy load.

My Yoke is easy and my burden is light

So serve me with all your might.

Jesus said, come to me if you thirst

I will satisfy those who put me first.

I will give to you eternal life

If you do not sin and live in strife.

Jesus said, you must live Godly and Holy

You must serve God solely.

Come out from among them and you I will receive

If only you can of truth conceive.

They drove the nails through my hands and feet

But this is the only way God you will meet.

I gave my life for one and all

But you must not from righteousness fall.

Let the ungodly forsake his sin

If eternal life you wish to win.

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory

You must forever tell this story.

Jesus said, Love your neighbor and do him no harm.

Lean on me for I am the everlasting arm.

He said, you must always forgive

If you want to always live.

Jesus said, Follow me and be bold

And you will walk those streets of gold.

Don’t let Satan draw you aside

Remove all your sins and pride.

Heal the sick and raise the dead

This is what Jesus said.

If your enemy hunger, feed him

Don’t let your anger make you sin.

Walk with me in white

And I will take away any fright.

Fear not, for I am always there

I will come to you anywhere.

Though you were dead

Yet shall you live

Though you were weak

Through me you shall boldly speak.

Have faith and it shall be done

For through me the victory has been won.

Together we shall rise

To obtain the everlasting prize.

Amen!
