Jesus gave me a little light.
I fanned it with all my might.
My light became so bright
It lights up the sky at night.
When you walk in the dark you will stumble.
You can find the truth if you will be humble.
The truth is the light and without it
You will never in Christ’s kingdom, fit.
You will stand strong and tall
And know that you will never fall
But only if you find the right way
And walk in this way every day.
Jesus gave me faith as a tiny seed
For he had seen my great need.
I fed the tiny seed with the best from heaven.
This is the pure truth with No leaven.
Jesus gave me a love for the Word of God.
I fed the love and it budded as Aaron’s rod.
This love brought forth much fruit
And has become in me, a mighty root.
This root has grown into a powerful tree.
It is a glorious sight to see.
From this tree the nations shall be fed.
They will then of God be led.
Come to this true light
And do not fight
This light will take away all fright
When you serve God with all your might.
Jesus gave me understanding above all my teachers.
It blasts down the lies of all the preachers.
Jesus gave me the key to open the cage
That holds all those hateful birds in their rage.
Jesus wore a crown of thorns to give me a crown of glory.
He went into hell so I could make heaven my territory.
Jesus died a painful death
To give to me eternal breath.
All that I am, all that I have, I owe to Him.
He gave me complete joy and peace within.
I want nothing that I see this world holds
As the glory of Jesus to me unfolds.
