Godhead: Outer Man or Inner Man

Godhead Message:

~~ Outer man or inner man? ~~ December 1, 2005

Much of the confusion concerning the truth of the Godhead is caused because people cannot discern the difference between the outer man and the inner man.  Even though I am sure most everyone knows that there is an outer man and an inner man, they still forget this when they read the Word and do not realize how to apply this to what they are reading.  This is the main reason the world today believes that Jesus was God.  When they read things he said, they cannot discern if it is the outer man or the inner man speaking.  It is just the same with any true Christian.  We could say the very same things Jesus said, speaking from the inner man, and it would sound as if we were saying I am God.

I can say, I am from above, and you would think I am blaspheming.  But in truth, I would be speaking from the inner man, or the Spirit.  The more fully one walks in the Spirit and not in the flesh, the more one will speak from heaven, and not from earth.  See earth refers to our outer man, or the one made from dust.  It is the natural, carnal man.  Everyone, even Jesus, had this natural man on the outside.  But every true Christian, even Jesus was given a spiritual, inner man, from God, when they receive the Holy Ghost.  This inner man is the heaven. If we walk in the Spirit, then we sit together with Him in Heavenly places.  But we are still on the planet, earth.  The heaven and earth are used in spiritual language in the Scripture.  It signifies the spirit or the flesh. These are simple truths, which the ‘church’ has missed and not taught to the people.  Without these spiritual ‘key’ you will never be able to come into the real truth.

Why did Jesus rebuke Peter and call him Satan?  Mt 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Jesus was speaking to the outer man of Peter here.  He was speaking to the dust man, the carnal, natural man, which cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God.  Jesus had told them of his coming death, and Peter had rebuked Jesus for this, saying this shall not be unto you.  See Jesus told Peter you are savoring the things which be of man.  So this shows that Peter was speaking from his outer man, which is Satan.  It savors the things of man, and not of God.

Now only a short while before the above was said, Jesus had said this to Peter:  Mt 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?  16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Mt 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.  16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mt 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Now see the difference in these two statements from Jesus to Peter?  When Peter spoke the revelation which God had given to him concerning who Jesus was, Jesus had called him blessed and even given him the keys to his Kingdom.  What is the difference here?  Jesus was speaking to the inner man in verse 17.  Now this clearly shows that there is a very distinct difference between the outer man and the inner man.  The outer man is natural, carnal, unable to receive the things of the Spirit of God.  In this human flesh, you will never understand or receive the things of God.  You must get into the inner man, or the Spirit.  The inner man is given to us by God.  It is not a natural part of any human being.  It came from God.  It is actually God’s Spirit dwelling in us, bringing us to conform to the image of Christ, in obedience to God.

You absolutely must get the truth of this if you are ever to know the truth of who Jesus actually was and is.  When you call the outer man, Jesus, God, you are making the big mistake of calling a human man God.  To say Jesus was God is to say that God was born (which the Word declares that God was never born, He had no beginning or ending.)  You must by the same token say that Mary was the Mother of God.  That is strictly Catholic doctrine, or the doctrine of the beast.  You must also declare that God was killed by sinful man and went into hell fire.  Can any of you with a true conscious make these statements?  If not, you had better seek for the real truth and acknowledge what your false doctrine is causing you to say and believe. The Word declares that God had no father or mother.  So if you say that Jesus was God, you must say that Mary was God’s Mother and he was his own father.  This is sheer foolishness!

The Jesus only teaching says that Jesus was man on the outside and God on the inside.  In other words, Jesus’ own mind, or spirit was God.  But does the Scripture teach this?  Of course it does not.  No Scripture says that Jesus was BOTH God and man.  It is simply NOT written.  Yet everyone seems to believe this lie.  I heard a minister say that we all will have to either believe the Trinity lie, or believe the Jesus-only doctrine.  I say, NO.  There is another ‘option’.  And that is the TRUTH.  See neither one of those teachings are true.  I personally have come out of both those doctrines.  I was raised to believe the trinity lie.  Later after much study of the Word, I came to believe the Jesus-only doctrine.  I was as deep into this as anyone has ever been.  I could teach it from one end to the other.  I was not taught it by man either.  I got it by studying the Word.  But it was only because I did not understand enough to see what I was reading.  I was doing the same thing almost everyone else does.  I was trying to make the Word fit into a mold already set up by man.  It simply will never fit  into their molds.

But I suppose God had me go through both those doctrines so I could understand them and be able to teach the truth so either one can see the real truth, that is IF they desire truth.  Now this is the hard part for everyone,  getting to a desire for truth and being willing to ‘unlearn’ all you now believe and allow God to reveal His truth to you.  But until you reach this place of being willing, you will never see truth or please God.  Jesus himself cannot teach a person who is unwilling to listen and learn.

Now did Jesus have the Spirit of God inside him from birth?  NO.  Only John the Baptist was born with the Holy Ghost inside him.  John is the only person which the Word declares to have the Spirit of God before His birth.  It is not taught of Jesus,  and yet no one believes that John was God.  There was a man sent from God whose name was John.  Does this make anyone say that John was God?  No!

If any man be in Christ he is a NEW Creature.  Old things pass away and all things become new.  This new creature is that inner man.  This person has been baptized into the body of Christ by receiving the Holy Ghost into himself, and thus has his entire nature changed.  Now this does not do away with the old nature.  This person still has his outer man.  He can still go away from following the Holy Ghost and go back to his old ways of sin and lose out with God.  That is why we are taught to die daily.  This means we must kill or mortify the deeds of the body (outer man) and walk or live in the Spirit or the inner man.  As long as this person obeys God and lives in the Spirit, or inner man, He will grow up in Christ and bring forth a ‘manchild’ or a Son of God.  This Son of God is our manchild growing inside us.  It is that seed of the Word which is placed into our spiritual womb at the time we are baptized into Christ.  It is that Spirit of God living inside us, conforming us to the image of his Dear Son, Jesus.

Now did Jesus go through these same steps of growing up in God?  Of course he did.  He was perfected by the things which he suffered.  Was Jesus born with the Holy Ghost inside him?  No.  Was God inside Jesus at birth?  NO.  Was that baby born to Mary the Emmanuel?  No, he was NOT.  Was Jesus as a baby, or a young man, God with us?  NO he was NOT.  Not one single person called Jesus God, not even his Mother, who certainly knew more about the truth of Jesus than anyone else.  But Mary is never said to have called her son God. Jesus had his own human mind or spirit inside him at his birth, else he could not have lived.  This human mind or spirit was NOT GOD.  It was his own human mind or spirit.  Jesus was fully and completely a human man.  He was not God.  Mary did not name her baby Emmanuel. She named him Jesus as the angel told her to do.  No one ever called Jesus Emmanuel.  It is not recorded anywhere in God’s Word.  So then what or where is the Emmanuel?

When and how did Jesus receive that inner man?  Let the Word of God tell us.  Ac 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.  ( did not say he was God; said God was with him.) Now that is the words of the Apostle Peter.  The Jesus-only folks declare that they believe and teach the same thing which the Apostles taught.  Well, I am yet to hear one of them use that verse above.  Why?  Peter said that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power.

Now be honest.  If Jesus were God, how is it that he anointed himself with the Holy Ghost and power?  Why would he need the Holy Ghost for power if he were God?  So when did God give this Holy Ghost and power to Jesus?  Again, let the Word tell us.  This way I am not saying anything except what the Word of God says.  If you cannot believe it, then you better take it up with God or your own mind.

Mt 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.  3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

Mt 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Mt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Mt 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mr 1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Mr 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: Mr 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Now that is the required two witnesses proving that Jesus received the Holy Ghost at the time of his baptism by John.  This Spirit came down from heaven and lighted upon and remained on Jesus.  So Jesus did NOT have this Spirit of the Holy Ghost inside him until he was a full 30 years old!  Jesus was 30 years old when he began his ministry.  This started with his baptism.  So for the first 30 years of Jesus’ life, he DID NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD INSIDE HIM.  So then how was he God?  God also bore witness at this time that this was His Son.  God never said this is myself being baptized in water.  Jesus had been studying and obeying the Word of God all his life.  But he had not had the Holy Ghost in him, nor the power which comes with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.  Go back to what Peter said,  God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power.  If Jesus had been born as God, He would have had this power all his life.  But there is no record anywhere in the Word where Jesus worked one miracle, or taught one sermon before this baptism.

So then what is meant by John 1:14?  Everyone, trinities and Jesus-onlies alike declare that it means that the Word was made into the human man, Jesus.  They think that baby which Mary gave birth to was and is this Word made flesh.  If so, then you must admit that Mary is the Mother of the Word of God.  Who wishes to step up and declare this?  Yet you are all declaring it every time you claim that Jesus, her son, was God, the Word.

Ga 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;  4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Ga 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:  4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Ac 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Now see that Jesus was made under the law.  So this placed him into the position of being a child, under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.  He was Lord of all, but he differed nothing from a servant at this time.  Isaiah shows many times Jesus as God’s servant .  This time appointed of the Father was AFTER his resurrection, when he ascended up on high and then was seated on the very throne of God.  This is when Jesus was set up as a Son in full power, as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.  Everyone trying to place Jesus in this position BEFORE his resurrection is going above God’s own work.

Ok let’s see if Jesus were the Word incarnate, as they teach.  Let’s see if he were the Word itself

De 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

De 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. De 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Now that was Moses speaking.  Twice he told the Israelites that God will raise up unto you a PROPHET from the midst of thee, of thy brethren.  Now Moses did NOT say God will raise up unto you a god or himself in human form.  He said this PROPHET will be of thee (the Israelites)  of thy brethren.  In other words, Jesus was made in all points like unto his brethren.  He was made exactly as any other human man.  This said he would be a PROPHET.  It never one time told them to expect this one to be God.

Notice, verse 15 says that the LORD thy God will do this raising up of the Prophet like unto Moses.  Then verse 18 It says I will raise them up a Prophet.  So the I is the LORD their God.  So God is still speaking when he said  I  WILL PUT  MY  WORDS IN  HIS  MOUTH.  I (personal pronoun, meaning the one speaking is the I) will put MY (also a personal pronoun showing it is God speaking of his own word) words in HIS (personal pronoun meaning someone OTHER than the one speaking) mouth.

I, God, will put MY (God’s ) Word in HIS (Jesus’) mouth.   God will put God’s Word in Jesus’ mouth.  I will put my word in his mouth, and HE shall speak unto them all that I shall command HIM.  God will put God’s Word in Jesus’ mouth, and Jesus will speak all that God commands HIM.  Him means someone other than the person speaking.  The ‘him’ here is NOT God.  It is that Prophet which God said He would raise up unto them, of their own selves.  He would be just like Moses.  Was Moses God?

So this is how Jesus came to have the Word of God inside himself.  God put it there.  Jesus verified this when He said the Words I speak are NOT mine, but the Father’s which sent me.  See how perfectly this fits the Scripture back in Deut. 18!

John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.  7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

Here Jesus said the doctrine I teach is NOT mine, but his that SENT ME.  If you do God’s will you will know of the doctrine, if it be of God or if I speak of myself.  He was not speaking from his own thoughts.  He was speaking the Words which God had put into his mouth, as prophesied by Moses.

Now for that second witness, Jesus’ own words:  John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

See there is twice Jesus told them his words he is speaking are not his own words, but the Fathers which sent him and put His Words into his mouth.  Jesus did not cross the prophesy given by Moses.  He did not declare that he was the Word made flesh.  He did not say these words are mine, for I am God.  He made it very clear that the words he spoke were NOT HIS OWN WORDS.  So then how could he have been as is taught, the Word made into human flesh?  There is just no way this teaching matches anything taught in the entire Scripture.  Where was it prophesied?  It has to be prophesied in the Old Testament writings to be true.  It is simply not there.  If you think so, please find it and show me.  Then it would cross these Scriptures I have given here.

Now I have proven with the Word that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost, at the age of 30, and gave him power.  I have proven that God put his words into Jesus’ mouth.  I have proven that Jesus was to be a prophet like unto Moses, and of his brethren, meaning a human being.  So then if the Word declares another doctrine than this, it is lying against these Scriptures.  If that is the case then God’s Word would not be true.  What do you believe?  Man’s doctrine, or the Word of God?

So just because there are verses which you do not understand does not make these verses here be false.  So then let’s find out what the confusing verses are really saying.

The main one which seems to confuse the ones who believe that Jesus was God (and they all do) are these:  They think where Jesus said “I Am” that this proves he was the I Am which spoke to Moses.  But if you read that Scripture, Jesus was saying I am the Son of man.  They twist this and say he was saying I am God.  So how could that be, when that same I Am put his words into Jesus’ mouth?  See Jesus was only speaking God’s Word.  It was that inner man speaking.  It was that Holy Ghost of God, it was the Word inside Jesus speaking.  It was NOT the outer man, the Son of Mary speaking.  See I proved at the very beginning of this message that Peter spoke from BOTH the inner man and then just a short while later, from the outer man.  Jesus rebuked the words spoken by the outer man and called it Satan.  So Jesus only spoke from the inner man.  He was always speaking GOD’S WORDS.  So it was the same God which spoke to Moses, saying I Am.  But it was NOT JESUS saying he is God..  IT WAS GOD’S WORD.  God’s Word was NOT MADE INTO A HUMAN MAN.  God put his words into that human man, and that man spoke God’s Word.  So it was the inner Christ speaking.  It was the Emmanuel, the spiritual manchild of JESUS.  Jesus was speaking from his heaven, not his earth.  It was not his natural mind speaking.  It was his Spiritual mind speaking God’s Word.  Besides he was saying If you believe not that I am the Son of man, you will not see life.  He was NOT saying I Am God.

Any true Child of God, who has the understanding of this, can say the very same things, and it be the same as Jesus said.  I can say before Abraham was, I Am.  For it is not me speaking, but the Father speaking in me.  Did not Jesus tell his disciples it will not be you speaking but the Father speaking IN you?  But any true Child of God will always make it clear what he means and give the glory to God.  Jesus did this too.  He always told them, these words I speak are NOT mine, but the Father’s which sent me.  He asked the young ruler, why call me good, only one is good and that is God.

The teachers of these lies think nothing of adding to the Word or taking away from the Word.  I hear them all the time saying many things which are not in the Word and twisting things around to suit their false doctrine.  They can never receive the true revelation of the Word, for they refuse to get on the right foundation.  If you believe that Jesus is God, you will never ever see the Word in the true light it is given in.   Believing that lie causes everything you read to seem different to you.  You cannot accept the truth, for it does not fit this lie.  Therefore you are afraid to listen and learn the truth.  But it will not prosper.  It will end in destruction.  All liars will end up in the lake of fire.  The liars means those who add to the Word, take away from the Word and twist the word.  Anyone who teaches these two doctrines are guilty of the above, for there is no other way to teach these lies.  They both know that their doctrine cannot deal with most of the Scriptures, yet they still blind themselves and refuse to admit that they are missing something important.

Now one verse which really confuses them is where it said his name shall be called the Word of God.  So what does this really mean?  By what we have already written in this message, it could not possibly mean that Jesus is God in flesh.  It could not mean that   he is the ‘flesh’ which the Word was made into.  Surely you do not think Jesus was telling us to eat his literal human flesh?   See that is what those who heard him thought, and because they misinterpreted this, they walked away and followed him no more.  Jesus’ flesh, His spiritual food, was the Word of God.  So it is the Word of God he is calling his flesh, or his food, and telling us to eat of the same Word.  If God put his WORDS into Jesus’ mouth, then this is the flesh God fed to Jesus.  So Jesus is saying eat of this same flesh which God put into my mouth.  Eat the WORDS OF JESUS, else you have no life in you.

Go back to Gal. 4.  The heir so long as he is a child is no different from a servant, though he be Lord of all.  This is Jesus.  He is Lord, or heir, of all.  While he was in human flesh, under that law, he could NOT have been this Lord of All, for he was still in this child stage.  He was in the servant stage.  No servant is Lord of all, or Lord of Lords.  So when did this occur, that Jesus became Lord of all?  When he was no longer in bondage under that law.  When was this?  The day of his resurrection from the bondage of this human flesh, death.

Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

God had appointed his Son heir of all things. But this son had to grow up first, before he could assume the responsibilities of being this Lord.  He could not take over this position so long as he was a child, under the bondage of law and humanity.  He had to be resurrected first, and be glorified.  He had to become in the image of God.  Now he could be trusted with all the same power as God himself has.  Now he could be worshipped as God and be called our Father, our God, our prince of peace.  But not while he was in the bondage of human flesh.

Jesus was never called God before his resurrection.  He was never called the Emmanuel.  He was never called the everlasting Father.  But since he ascended up to Heaven, and God set him up as Lord of Lords and King of Kings and told all the angels to worship his Son, then Jesus was called all these things.  Now he has come into his inheritance of being heir of all things.

So what does ‘in the name of’ mean?  It means the authority or power by which one does a thing.  When Jesus said baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, he was telling them this is the authority by which I command you to do this.  Later when the Apostles baptized in the Name of Jesus, it was the power or authority by which they did this.  Yet these false brethren claim that Father is only a title.  They say that Holy Ghost is only a title.  They must never seek proof of anything before they teach it, for no Scripture anywhere says this.  The Holy Ghost is not any title.  It is a Spirit.

See they cannot discern the real truth, so they must ‘make up’ stuff to try and fit their doctrine into the Word.  It will never work, for it crosses too many other Scriptures.  When it says that his name is called the Word of God, it is saying that the Word of God is the power and authority by which he now rules as God and has the same power as God.  It does not mean that Jesus is the Word of God.  If so, then why did God say I will put my words into his mouth and all that I command him he will speak and do?  If Jesus were the word, then God would not have to put his words into Jesus’ mouth.  See truth fits every single Scripture.

Emmanuel is the inner man or manchild of Jesus.  It was his own Spirit obeying God in all things until Christ was formed in him.  Jesus is the virgin who birthed that Holy Son of God.  It was Jesus’ own perfect life brought forth at his resurrection in the likeness and glory of God.  Now he is ONE with God.  All that God was, Jesus has become.  Now Jesus is one with the Word of God.  So the Word of God is his power or his name by which he rules and brings all his enemies under his feet. Jesus lived in the Spirit and not his human flesh.  Thus when he spoke it was the inner man speaking.

It is the very same way Adam was spoken to by God as His Son, and later his carnal, disobedient mind was spoken to as the serpent.  Adam had become a hypocrite, under the bondage of law.  He had become a serpent, a bondchild of law, so God cast him out.  Cast out the bondchild, for he shall not be heir with the freechild.  Jesus dropped that bondage and became a freechild.  So now he could inherit all things from his Father.  Now he thought it not robbery to be equal with God.  Now he could be called all that God was and is, for he never grasped at this in his lifetime.  He willingly submitted to God in all things as a servant.  Now he is Lord of All.

Jesus is now working making the new world.  It was not the old world which Jesus made.  It is the new world as he works to bring us all into the same understanding and obedience to God that he himself had and did.  He is working to bring many sons to glory.  It will be complete at our resurrection and not before.  Jesus did not enter into his glory until his resurrection.  We will not receive that glory before then either.  Jesus was not on earth in glory.  He was on earth as a servant in whom was no beauty that we should desire him.  This is not the glory which was the Word made flesh.  That happened at his resurrection.  That is when they beheld the glory of the only begotten Son of God.  That is the day he was begotten into the image and glory of God.

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

This is another verse proving that Jesus was a brother to humans.  He was crowned with glory.  He was made perfect through his sufferings.  This cannot be God.  It  is a human being who obeyed God in all things.
