Church-False Message:
Second lesson on the case against Judah- Israel
Jer. 2:26–As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their KINGS, their princes, and their PRIESTS, and their PROPHETS,
27–Saying to a stock, Thou are my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
[See, this shows the whole nation in idolatry against God; yet they want him to save them in trouble]
v28–But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.
v30–….your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
Now does this not verify what Jesus said, that Jerusalem was the one who killed all the prophets?
Now, Jer. 3:3–[After telling them they have played the whore everywhere, he says this:]~~~~~Therefore the showers have been with holden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a WHORE’S FOREHEAD, thou refusedst to be ashamed.
A WHORE’S FOREHEAD!!!
Rev. 17:5—And upon her FOREHEAD was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
There you have it: Identification of old Israel as being the Mystery Babylon who is the GREAT CITY— and the Mother of harlots and abominations against God. That, church people, is what you are worshiping. This is where you spend so much money going to see ‘that holy land????’ ! I see no holiness connected with it.
One would have to call the whole word of God a lie to deny that Israel, the whole nation is this great city, that whore with the name in her forehead of being the mother of harlots.
Come out of her, my people!!!
I will not type all of this chapter; but you should read it for yourself. It shows her many sins and abominations. It really stresses her sins under the green trees. [better get away from those x-mas trees]
But one can easily see why the church world loves these things so much ~~~~~it is just her nature~ a carry over from her OT days.
v23–Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: [this speaks of when they cried to the rocks and ‘mountains’ (churches) to save them: see that there is a multitude of them—a church on every corner—but no salvation).
v25–We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our god.
