Grace Message:
On Law
Ok, but what is his gospel? Now this was spoken by Paul. So we must see what Paul’s gospel was. Right?
[by the way, what is the baby? what does that mean?]
Gal. 3: 16. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
[Here Paul makes it clear that he is speaking of one particular seed of Abraham. Who is this?
Romans 2: 28. For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29. But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
We who are Spirit filled are the true Jew; the true seed of Abraham. We are the one to whom the promise is given.]
17. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
In this verse he showed that the Grace covenant was with Abraham 430 years before the law covenant was given. The promise of eternal life came under the Grace covenant. The Law and the Grace covenant are opposites. They cannot possibly exist together. You see, the law demands punishment for every transgression. Forgiveness is not possible under law. You cannot give forgiveness or LOVE– for unless you carry the offender to the judge to be punished, then you are also guilty, and set for punishment. So only under Grace is forgiveness possible.
It is necessary for us to forgive every transgression against us in order for God to forgive us. But under the law, you had better not try to forgive it. They had to take the offender down to be stoned to death. and you want law?
18. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Here Paul makes it clear that the inheritance [of eternal life] is not under the law.
19. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
The law was ordained in the hand of a mediator. Who was this mediator? It was Moses. But was Moses under the law?
But who was the MEDIATOR of the Grace covenant? It was Jesus Christ. There is one God AND one MEDIATOR between God and men, the MAN Christ Jesus.
20. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
21. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
Now read verse 21 carefully. If there had been a law given which could have given life, then righteousness should have been by the law.
See then that life was not possible by or under the law. And you want Law?
22. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
After faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster, the law. And you want Law? why? Then faith has not come to you.
26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Ye are children of God by FAITH > faith in Christ Jesus. Who is Christ Jesus? The resurrected only Begotten SON OF GOD.
27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal. Galatians 5
1. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
This is important. Stand fast in the liberty of grace = freedom. The law is bondage. And you want Law? Be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage, which is the law. Jesus set us all free from the law when he died and nailed that whole law to the cross and took it out of the way.
So who then is under the bondage of Law? All who pick back up on law at any point. If you do one, then you are guilty of it all.
2. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
See Paul taught right here that if you pick back on one law, circumcision, tithing, Sabbath keeping, gotta go somewhere business, etc, then you are a debtor to do the whole law. This includes killing the animals. That is why it is doing dispite to the spirit of Grace and tampling the blood of Jesus.
4. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Chtatum, and everyone else — read this verse for the sake of your eternal life. It is not me. It is God.
Christ is become of absolutely no effect unto you, if you seek to be justified again by law; you fall from grace. This is the great falling away.
They all fell away from Grace, Faith, back to the works of the law. Therefore, Christ shall profit you nothing. Not healing; not comfort; not salvation.
You fall from salvation. And you want Law?
5. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
If you are under the law, you are not under the Spirit, there is no faith. Paul said the law is not of faith. And you want Law?
So now I have showed you what Paul taught. Yes, we will be judged by his gospel. Did you fall from Grace?
James 2:10. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Now here is another Apostle saying the same thing. If you try to keep one law, then you are guilty of it all. If you break even one law, you are doomed. You are guilty.
If you are under one law, then you must keep it all. Jesus said none of you keep it.
Better flee from law and try to get to Grace.
